The Un Request to Release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Written by Oguchi Martins Egbujor 25th July 2022 Nigeria is managed on lies and ineptitude. No one in government speaks the truth hence Nnamdi Kanu was kidnapped, tortured, renditioned and imprisoned. Since then, Nigerians have been calling on the government to do the honourable thing and release Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally however, this government is notorious on pampering criminals and maltreating freedom agitators. No government in the western world had intentionally killed any of her citizens for speaking against injustice. Nigeria has become the only country where security officials willingly and joyfully kill its citizens, especially when those citizens are of Igbo heritage. And those Nigerians, especially the so-called Nigerian press, such as the Channels Television are biased and are in the business of favouritism. Channels television does not like to ask any good questions unless those pertaining to Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB and the Igbos. The presenters go as far as stopping respondents from speaking out on valuable points. The cause of good governance is the effectiveness of opposition, be it party or dissenting voices of the public. The press supposed to subject the government to a rigorous scrutiny of its actions and accountability however, media Houses, such as the channels television decides to chase the goose while their house is on fire. Nigeria has been totally mismanaged since the last seven years. No governments of the world have been this reckless, careless and power-drunk as the President Buhari's government in Nigeria; it operates without conscience. The government is unconcerned of the magnitude of incessant killings and maiming of Nigerians. What has the federal government said about killings of the unarmed fourteen young boys in Imo State last week? Practically nothing; they loved it and quietly celebrate it and looked forward to a repeat because President Buhari promised Igbo youth that he would kill them as he did to those before them during the civil war. Politicians termed Muslims killing Christians as banditry, and the world wondered on its systemic pattern that involves also Muslims killing Muslims. Now entered unknown gunmen, really? Totally unknown to the security agents? Are you sure? Who is fooling who here? Do you want me to believe that the security agents of Nigeria do not know the originators that showcased their talent at Owerri Correctional Centre? Is it not the case of giving a dog a bad name in order to kill it? Unknown gunmen concentrated on destroying security posts? Unknown gunmen killing our beloved Gulak to incite panic, disorder and finger-pointing in Igboland? Owerri, the most peaceful land in Nigeria with the most educated people of the world? Come on, who established the unknown gunmen in the East? How? Why? However, now entered Ebubeagu who's job responsibility is to eliminate able men and women of fighting age in Igboland. I am not a policeman however, I had uncles on both sides of parentage who were senior policemen; is the job of a police officer not to protect life and property of its citizens? Police is there to arrest criminals and bring them to justice and not to kill them unless it is obvious that their lives are in danger? The civil security organisations have no licence to kill and if that is the case, who empowered Ebubeagu to kill innocent and unarmed young men in the East. When was the law on policing changed to include Ebubeagu killing unarmed young men? The press, such as Channels Television should have been asking these questions, have they? The answer is "no". I do not know if channels television has asked questions regarding the UN order to Nigeria to unconditionally release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and compensate him for his ordeal. The killing of fourteen boys who attended wedding ceremony in Orlu, Imo State last week was supposed to be the current issue; has anybody heard channels television asking the right questions and probing for the right answers? Channels television is a disgrace to journalism! However, Nigeria authorities have enjoyed the killing of the Igbos for over three years since her president infamously claimed that he would treat the young Igbos as he treated their fathers. Since that infamous statement criminality has been imported into Igboland, first with the disguised name of unknown gunmen and second as Ebubeagu. Igboland has not been the same again. Igbo young men and women have on a daily basis lost their lives in the names of searching for IPOB and ESN, really? However, the Fulani terrorists are in the bushes, Kidnapping, extorting huge amount from Nigerians and the security agents are doing nothing about it yet they traced and killed innocent Nigerians, especially of Igbos extraction. Is that the true understanding of security protection? Is this what police officers do, killing innocent and unarmed people and burning villages? Really? One thing is clear, there is an institution called "criminal court" in the Hague and Nigeria is a signatory to it; those that have been unjustly killing Nigerians will one day account for their crimes. The killings that have taken place in Nigeria in the last seven years are unacceptable and will certainly be answered in the Hague; someone must surely go to prison; it may not be in Nigeria but must be in the Hague. The infamous police officer, Abba Kyari killed so many unarmed youths of Igbos and was getting away with it until the hand of God implicated him in the USA. It has been claimed by many Nigerians who have access to secret information that the criminals operating in Nigeria were imported for a single purpose, that is to strengthen domination of Nigeria by Fulanis. People like the late Dr Obodiah Mailafia tried to prepare Nigeria for 2023 but surprisingly the young man mysteriously died, how? Nigerians are still wondering. The moderate Nigerian Fulanis have been subdued, intimidated and killed by the fundamental Fulani jihadist. They are determined to pitch their tent on the soil of Igboland. The first thing the military do is to degrade the strength of their opponents, and this is exactly what those who imported the Fulani militias into Nigeria are currently doing hence their nefarious activities have been overlooked and condoned by those who are supposed to arrest them. Nigerians are collectively afraid of their lives; they are intimidated, harassed, bullied, and cowed hence they find it difficult to speak out anymore. However, I seize this opportunity to warm the Fulanis, whether Nigerians or foreigners that there is time for everything and the time has now come for the moderate Fulanis to call their people to order. They should remember that the first order given by President Shehu Shagari in 1979 was on the deportation of Alhaji Shugaba who thought that he was untouchable. Nigeria does not teach history in school to avoid revealing the truth against their actions and government injustice against the Igbos and that does not mean that Nigerians do not follow history or individually document historic events. The same President Shehu Shagari dealt with the notorious Maitasine and his criminal gang in 1980. Shagari as a Fulani man destroyed Maitasine, a Fulani man in Kano. Who says that the Nigerian Fulanis support evil? I lived in Kano for the first ten years of my adulthood, and I know the Fulanis, and I interacted with them. Every Nigerian love life, be it Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and others. Nigerian Fulanis need the help of other Nigerians as a lot of them have been killed for speaking out. I would have married a Fulani girl from Sokoto if her father had not died early. The man loved me and took me as a son and it was when the man died that I discovered that her mother did not like me. My people came to discuss the issues and I was asked to respect the will of the mother. I now wonder the reason why the moderate Fulanis are not speaking out. One thing is clear, nothing last forever hence Shettima and his group want to continue from where Buhari stopped hence they rented bishops, it is a despicable act of dishonesty! This singular act of renting bishops is a clear sign of dishonest government in waiting hence APC must not be allowed to rule Nigeria again. They are agents of evil. Imagine the audacity of deceiving Nigerians by impersonating criminals as Christian bishops. The last time I checked, impersonation is a criminal offence and hello, where is the police and the security agents who go about killing and maiming people in the East? However, it is becoming obvious that eight (8) years is not eighty (80) years and for that reason President Buhari is leaving office in May 2023 whether he likes it or not. All those who imported the Fulani militias to intimidate and kill Nigerians must be fished out, disgraced and prosecuted. Nothing short of this would calm Nigerians down. Simply look at the killings in Kaduna and Benue States. After Buhari, peace and reconciliation team must be set up with the aim of identifying the criminals amongst us and punishing them. Nothing short of that is acceptable. To the same degree for Imo State and their governors, their days are numbered. Ohakim used Imo State fund to appease the Northern politicians and elders, and Imo State was termed ATM machine. Rochas Okorocha managed Imo State fund as his private business and family affairs; used part of it to fund APC. Rochas committed crime by killing the young schoolboy "Ikechukwu" while demolishing Ekeonunwa. To the greatest surprise of the people of Imo State and Igboland, our supreme Court governor turned Imo State into a killing field. Blood spills everywhere in the state, even in his own village, abomination! He had enjoyed numerous killings however, the killing of the fourteen (14) youngsters who attended wedding ceremony is one too many. It is not acceptable, and all the culprits must be brought to justice. We can no longer tolerate these incessant killings of our youth of which we know that the aim is to degrade Igbos manpower resources pending for the day of reckoning. We collectively say no to this and let this be the last tears Igbos would shade in this struggle of liberation and the emancipation of forced slavery on the Igbos. Hope Uzodinma, the uncle Tom of Imo State should be advised now to be careful! Igbos have had enough of this nonsense! Nigeria now has it on black and white from the United Nations to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally and equally compensate him however, one thing is obvious, some people in this government must be tried in the Hague for crimes against humanity and I believe that Hope Uzodinma would be one of them.
