The book explains several waves of rioting in the northern Nigeria that led to the brutal massacre of thousands of easterners living in the northern Nigerian. Easterners living in the north, by noticing that their safety could no longer be guaranteed, fled from the north to the eastern region. They started negotiations on how to live in harmony but when negotiations fail, they revert back to their original nation before British establish Nigeria.
