Letter Writing in Igbo
Language
In Igbo language, letters can normally be
composed the same way they are composed
in English language. The salutation, attention,
closing remark, signature, etc., on average
they are the same in formula but the only
difference is that the letter has been written
in Igbo language.

Dear Uche Igboaha,
How are you doing and your family? I am sure
everything is okay?
The reason why I am writing this letter is that
I want to come home for Christmas. I would
like you to come and wait for me on 15
December at the Port Harcourt airport for my
arrival at 4.45pm.
I will write to you again when the time is
nearer .
Goodbye...
Your brother
Johnson Igboaha
