Written by Igbo Focus 10th December 2024 The continued accusation of Simon Ekpa of terrorism by the Nigeria government would rather be things taken too far. As Simon Ekpa and Finnish Government are considering suing Nigeria government especial for wasting Finnish authority’s time. There are many terrorism issues or legal rights available to Simon Ekpa, four others and Finnish Government to sue Nigeria government on the basis of: Nigeria government sending Finnish Authorities on a wild goose chase of terrorism. Nigeria government accusing four innocent Biafrans and Simon Ekpa of terrorism. Suing Nigeria government for the reimbursement of accrued costs for Finnish Authorities travelling to Nigeria to investigate terrorism charge. Simon Ekpa and four others may sue Finnish Authorities for wrongful arrest and detention which will manifest or replicate on Nigeria government’s culpability. Simon Ekpa may sue Nigeria Government for Destroying his political ambition in Finland. Simon Ekpa may sue Nigeria Government for sending hitmen to Finland to kill him. Simon Ekpa may sue Nigeria Government for enticing people to kidnap him. Simon Ekpa may sue Nigeria Government for sending people to Finland to fight him. Simon Ekpa may sue Nigeria Government for hacking into or contracting experts to hack into his communication devices to claim he is into cyber incitement. Etc. Countries have embassies to cater for their nationals overseas but in the Nigeria government own case, embassies are used to facilitate the killing or jailing of their nationals overseas once they don’t like what they are doing or saying. They have started on the Conservative Tory Party leader in the UK, Kemi Badenoch when Kashim Shettima, the ostensive founder of boko haram criticised her for unfavourable remarks about Nigeria. And which impelled Badenoch to replied that she is not the country’s (Nigeria) public relations (PR). Now the drifter, Reno Omokri has takeover the criticism as part of his hobby. Nigeria government has been using terrorism as weapons to tie Biafrans agitating for self-determination, especially those people operating from foreign countries. They use terrorism to persuade countries’ governments to take them seriously even though that they are lying to them. They used terrorism against those in Ghana to get Nigerian press to print that Biafrans in Ghana were arrested for terrorism. They did the same in South Africa, Ivory Coast, India, Spain, etc., even they used it against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (MNK) telling Kenyan secret services that MNK is part of Al-Shabaab group, the Islamist Terrorist Group terrorising Kenya and other neighbouring East Africa countries. They always use terrorism against Igbos when they try to fight back especially if the case is between Igbo person and Yoruba, Hause or Fulani to make Igbo look like the third-class citizen and you know what: foreign governments always have faith in Igbo people making Nigeria government to look stupid. Look at the case about Amaka in Toronto, Canada where Nigeria media were swamped with the story that Amaka was arrested and detained by Toronto police. At that time, according to Amaka, she was not charged with any offence. Instead, she was invited by the police following a report from the Nigerian government that she was a terrorist. According to her, she went to the police station. In the course of her statement and exchange of words with the police, she handed over video evidence which revealed her actions were in response to the threats against killing all Igbo children wherever they are seem by Benin and Yoruba people. The Nigerian government officials saw the video evidence but yet reported Igbo woman as a terrorist who responded to what Benin and Yoruba people verbalised. At the end, taking into account of the whole situation, examining the evidence, the police brought the case to a close by concluding that Amaka has no additional questions to answer, she was directed to go as Nigerian government has waisted their (Canadian authority’s) time. Thenceforth, Canadian government cautioned Nigeria government to handle its inter-tribal problems in Nigeria instead of bringing them over to Canada to disturb them. The last I heard of the case was that Amaka will be suing Nigeria government for $50m. For all we know now, perhaps the shameless Nigeria government may have settled out of court for calling Amaka a terrorist. For Nigerian government making these false accusations of terrorism, one would wonder if they know the meaning of terrorism. False accusation of terrorism is exclaimed mislead or hoax regarding terrorist confrontation. In the UK, making a false accusation of terrorism is a criminal offense which may result in five years imprisonment. For a country that is projecting as giant of Africa, it is disgraceful for telling foreign governments that her nationals are terrorists. Now, Simon Ekpa is another person that Nigeria government presented as a terrorist to the Finnish authority. According to what we heard that Finnish authority is seeking evidence from the Nigeria government to prove the fact that Simon Ekpa and four other are terrorists. But Nigeria government has nothing to show as evidence, rather Nigeria government is saying that Simon Ekpa is occupied with cyber incitement. So, if Nigeria government had known that Simon Ekpa is carrying out cyber incitement, why send Finnish authority on a wild goose chase of terrorism? Nigeria government is very good at it for sending foreign governments on a wild goose chase. Nigeria government don’t realise that they are breaking the national and international law sending foreign governments on a wild goose chase. Foreign governments give a statement or accountability for their expenditures which something Nigeria government department doesn’t do. Propelling foreign governments on a wild goose chase is a fruitless pursuit that would clearly be unsuccessful. And a waste of time and resources for the reason that the person or thing being investigated for is not genuine, not happening there or is happening somewhere else. Sending foreign governments on a wild goose chase could mean making them wasting their time probing something that is absent because they have been given incorrect information.
