The Incarceration of Nnamdi Kanu (Nnamdi Kanu Is The Pivot On Which The Wheels Of Nigerian Solutions Rotate) Written by Oguchi Martins Egbujor 8th August 2021 Prominent Nigerians, including Igbos have been talking lately of fixing Nigeria. It is likened as a broken car that needs overhauling. They are all looking forward to 2023 without addressing the Agitation for Biafra. They see Igbos as irrelevant factor hence they collective planned to crush IPOB. They did unimaginable crime to kidnap Nnamdi Kanu and subjected him to extra ordinary rendition from Kenya to Nigeria to teach Igbos and IPOB a lesson which they could not learn during the civil War. Will extra ordinary rendition of Kanu be the end of Biafra Agitation? However, Nnamdi Kanu did not start Biafra and it is not his brainchild; therefore, incarcerating him will never stop the Agitation. In fact, it has now fuelled the Agitation. The Igbos in diaspora have all woken up and have taken the mantle of leadership to project Biafran case to the world. Since the kidnapping of Nnamdi Kanu, the case for Biafra is presented to all governments of the world. Biafra has gained momentum since the extra ordinary rendition of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu. All governments of the world are now discussing and debating about it. Remember that Nigerian government and Igbo elites claimed that the Agitation for Biafra was by miscreants, jobless Igbo youth. Now they know that they are wrong. Biafran Agitation is by Igbo Professionals domiciled outside Nigeria. Nigerian government and Igbo elites try to intimidate, bully and harassed Igbos in Nigeria. However, they forgot that those who pay the bills of ordinary Igbos are diasporas and he who pays the piper dictates the tune. The young Igbos being killed, harassed and intimidated have relatives outside Nigeria who are aggrieved of the maltreatment of their relatives. Those in diaspora are working tirelessly to see the actualisation of the sovereignty of Biafra. However, this quest for Biafra cannot be quenched by bribery and corruption as the Abuja politicians are working for their pockets and that of their families only. Those in diaspora do not depend on hand-out from Nigerian government. The political beggars of Igbo extracts may connive with the government, but they are the minority. Nigerians must try to understand Igbo culture; women and the youth are so important to any decision taken by the Igbos. Killing Igbo youth and ignoring their mothers shows serious lack of understanding of Igbo culture. Our youth and women are important factors and central to the decision making in Igboland. Do not forget Igbo motto of “igwe bu ike" and nothing can change that. Igbo decisions are taken at village square. If anyone wants to speak to the Igbos, he must meet them at the village square where it is one man one vote. Democracy is enshrined in Igbo culture. No politician or elite can impose his decision on others at the village square. If Abuja wants to talk to the Igbos, they must come down to the village square. The Abuja political elites have no authority in their communities; they must put their case across, and it must be debated and indeed voted for according to Igbo culture. However, my position is referendum! We have endured hardship, suppression, intimidation, subjugation and marginalisation for so long. We are now tired, and we want to go our own way. We are not against any Nigerians or tribes. Igbos cannot continue to be the sacrificial lamb for Nigerian unity. We want Biafra, we want freedom and by referendum only. However, Nigeria should stop chasing us into our own homes; our culture commands us to defend our home with everything at our disposal. Igbos want referendum or nothing, whether Nigeria is fixed or not. Peter Obi and others can go and be the president of fixed up Nigeria, however I just want to be a citizen of a peaceful Biafra. Nothing can replace our quest for freedom. One-Nigeria Igbos should move to Abuja and be looked after over there. Igbos in diaspora are no longer interested in whether it is one-Nigeria or four-Nigeria; all we want now in referendum for Biafra. In fact, Nigeria should take the oil, we are no longer interested in it. We want freedom, we yearn for freedom from the bottom of our hearts. Nigeria can keep Nnamdi Kanu in prison as much as they want to, but they must never harm him. He is the God of the Igbos at the present time, representing Almighty God on earth. He is our mouthpiece and our representative. Nigeria and Igbo elites should try as much as they can to protect his wellbeing. Any discussion without Nnamdi Kanu is irrelevant. Kanu is the pivot on which the wheels of peace, progress and solution rotate. Nigerians must consult with him in prison. His word is above any other voices of Igbo Elites, and they Must get that into their heads and stop betraying the course of Biafra. My name is Oguchi Martins Egbujor; I am the messenger. He who has ear let him hear!
