Any Military Attack On Eastern Security Network (ESN), Is An Attack Against Us---Igbo Youths Group Written by Mazi Onyebuchi Eze 23rd February 2021 Igbo Youth Assembly for Peace and Security (IYAPS), has registered it's pleasure over what they described as a conspiracy by the Nigerian government and the governors of the South-East region. They plan to crush the Eastern security outfit named Eastern Security Network (ESN), even at such a time like this when security is needed more than ever. The Igbo Youth Assembly rose up from their Annual General Meeting which was held in Umuahia, Abia State recently, with a declaration that any attack on the Eastern Security Network (ESN), is a direct attack on all Igbo youths globally. They clearly emphasized that ESN simply stands for both male and female youth that are born in Biafraland, comprising both South-East and South-South regions of the present day Nigeria. The National Coordinator of the Igbo Youth Assembly, Ogbuefi Chukwudi Ogbodo who briefed newsmen after the annual convention, stated that Igbo youths all over the world, view the development as a declaration of war against them by Hope Uzodimma of Imo State. This is the man that callously invited the Nigerian military to invade, attack and wipe out the operatives of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), in Orsu and Orlu Local Government Areas of the State, simultaneously. Ogbuefi Chukwudi Ogbodo said that the ESN is a people-oriented security outfit which has been overwhelmingly accepted by all the Igbos with the exception of the minority few criminal political elites that are hell bent on destroying the security goodwill, put in place for the people. These criminal politicians are plotting to have a leeway in the service of the interest of their Abuja-based slavemasters at the detriment of the indigenous farmers within the rural communities. He however maintained that there stands no amount of intimidation or military siege that will tilt Igbo youths away from their support to the Eastern Security Outfit. Nobody in particular is an ESN operative but an involvement of every able bodied youth in the entirety of Biafraland which Igbo territories rightly belong. On contact with Family Writers Press International, the National Secretary of Igbo Youths Assembly for Peace and Security (IYAPS), Barrister Nzubechukwu Anazodo, through a telephone conversation, strongly insisted that Igbo youths will not in anyway fold their hands and be watching helplessly as the selfish politicians destroy ESN which took Igbo youths years of sleepless nights to create. He pointedly stated that since 12th of December 2020 when the ESN was unveiled, Igbo peasant farmers have experienced big sigh of relief in their farming endeavors within the rural areas. He concluded that whoever that touches ESN, definitely touches all the youths of the communities throughout the length and breadth of Igboland and should be prepared to contend with the anger of the people.
