25 December 2019
This is Mary Beth Leonard, the new US ambassador to Nigeria. It was on December 24, 2019 that she sent her Letters of Credence to Gen. Buhari - incidentally the same day Buhari ordered the immediate release of Dasuki and Sowore. Coincidence?
Buhari sounded very traumatised and told Mary that "...the recent listing of Nigeria for human rights concerns created an impression that some people were being unfairly treated or marginalised in the country... i know that those with access have created an impression of being marginalised. I sit here with a clear conscience. I took an oath and I am honouring the office."
Mary simply told him that "...Nigeria was listed on a watch list to deepen conversation on the humanitarian situation in the country, especially with religious leaders and mediators." No apologies!
Months ago, i prayed fervently for Mary's appointment. When she was confirmed back in August, i was elated. No nation on earth, let alone those classified as 'Super Powers' can succeed in their Foreign Policy initiatives without Ambassadors - nearly all the time, hand-picked by and loyal to the sitting president.
The butterflies that i felt in my stomach over the replacement of the former US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson (a globalist) with Mike Pompeo is what i feel right now over Mary's appointment.
Take it or live it, we've got a friend in Mary! #FreedomBells #HappyDaysAhead
COMPLIMENTS OF THE SEASON!
