Court Awards IPOB Lawyer N5m For Being Harassed By DSS During Visit To Nnamdi Kanu Umuchiukwu Writers Reporting 4th April 2022 Federal High Court Abuja has ruled that the Department of State Security (DSS) pay damage of 5 million Naira fine to IPOB lawyer, Barrister Maxwell Opara Chibuike Esq for harassing and violating his human rights during his visitation to the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at the DSS facility . Barrister Maxwell had narrated his ordeal with the DSS on the 6th September, 2021 where he was nearly stripped naked before allowed to see his client Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Delivering on the judgment, Hon. Justice Zainab B. Abubakar of the Federal High Court 4 declared and held that the act of the DSS is a flagrant violation on the rights of Barrister Maxwell and upon thereby, placing a cost of N5million awarded against DSS in the favour of the Barrister Maxwell . The Presiding judge also asked the DSS to published an unreserved apology to Barrister Maxwell Okpara Chibuike in the Daily News Paper.
